Having had enough of Winter now we have moved from a window of ‘Spring Greens’ to the warm shades of ‘Funky Chickens’. We hope it makes you smile as much as it does us. Mildred and Doris have settled in well and are keeping a beady eye on everything.

Its sort of Sixties meets farmyard!

Lots of new things inside the shop too.  Adding to our gift range we have lovely new Chinese paper cut cards, resin birdie brooches and patchwork wrapping paper by Petra Boase.

Making an appearance are hand-embossed cards by Ashley Hutchinson of Lino-King cards. Ashley trained as an illustrator and we are particularly in love with his range of stylised flower and plant cards. So good they’re worth framing.

New to haberdashery, we have some great stuff from The Button Company. Bundles of wool felt squares; ideal for all sorts of projects in a vintage palette, rainbow webbing; great for bag handles or belts and gorgeous 100% cotton ric-rac in shades of fog, grass and natural. New buttons too: vivid green shell buttons, plain flower shell ones and fab grey mussel shell buttons; will add fun to any outfit or project.

We are also expecting a new delivery of House of Alistair Liberty print fabric buttons in lots more colours in the small 5’s and 6’s.

And as ever our new stock trickles in. The weather is putting paid to any major foraging trips but we are none the less still finding gems.
